FAQs

Explore frequently asked questions about customisations, sizes, and pricing for our unique stainted glass pieces.

Can I customise pieces?

Anything within the gallery can be customised to suit your vision, or can be the basis of a new design. When getting in touch, include a description of the piece.

What sizes are available?

There are a variety of sizes available, ranging from the smallest at 15 x 20 cm, and the largest being 80 x 50 cm. The cutoff size for postage is 30 x 40 cm due to the precious nature of the finished pieces. Anything above 30 x 40 cm will need to be collected from the studio, or a fragile items courier arranged by the client.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing is based on size and intricacy of the design. Simple designs will cost less than a very complex and detailed design at the same size. Framing or encapsulation adds to the cost, which will be discussed at the initial consultation.

What is the process?

The process begins with an email consultation to discuss your ideas. The  design will be produced on payment of the non-refundable retainer.  The approved design, size and colour of the glass, as well as framing or encapsulation will also be finalised at this stage.

The piece is then painted and etched, with photos to show the progress. The final payment is taken before framing or encapsulation.

How do I order?

You can order in a variety different ways. You can simply email through your requirements, browse my Etsy shop with current stock, or fill out the contact form and you will receive an email reply within 24 hours. Please provide information such as size and possible design requirements if you have them at this stage. It can be an existing Tanglewood Tales design, or the exicting process of a custom piece can begin!
