My passion is the natural world and it’s wild creatures. I live next to fields where the skylarks sing and foxes haunt the garden at twilight and dawn. Several different types of owl live in a small wood nearby, I especially love to see the barn owl ghosting across the field on his nightly hunt and to follow the darting flight of bats around my house. My garden is a haven for birds, hedgehogs and even grass snakes sometimes sun themselves near the pond. I regularly walk in the Peak District, which I love...and am thrilled when I see the huge, brown Derbyshire hares racing on what is left of the unspoilt grasslands. I am inspired by the flora and fauna within my garden and the local landscape and this led to the creation of Tanglewood Tales,my pictorial stories which include the creatures I love to observe.

Tanglewood Tales are painted onto handmade stained glass, then fine detail is etched into the enamel. I use stained glass, copper wire and reclaimed wood to create individual works of art.
