Window Panels
The pieces of glass I create are painted using a professional enamel glass paint which I then etch into. When it is cured it’s a hard finish but it is not waterproof.
Therefore window panels are suitable for indoor situations or where there is no risk of large amounts of condensation. The glass is only 3mm thick, so is not suitable for a door panel or large window area, where safety is an issue. Ideally the panel would be fitted in front of a window which is already double glazed, or over a door panel where there is already a piece of glass.
Any of my original Tanglewood Tales designs can be scaled up to create a window or door panel. In response to enquiries, I am now able to offer the option of having a panel encapsulated into a triple glazed unit for complete protection. This then makes the panels suitable for installation in areas where there may be large amounts of condensation, such as a shower room or bathroom.
I can make a window or door panel to fit a given size, as the glass company I use can supply large pieces of glass, but the cost increases exponentially.I would quote for the cost of the glass, cutting it to size and delivery. Then my design, paint and etching quote would be separate.
Framed panels
Any of the panels I create can be framed in narrow black wooden frames at additional cost. Please get in touch to discuss any requirements.
